About Tri-State Contracting
Tri-State Contracting was established in 1873 by Greg Gonyaw with the passion to build high quality buildings for his community. With only a hammer and 3 nails Greg was able to erect a church for his local community that housed them during the hurricane of 1943 with no casualties. From there his drive continued to build some of the most popular buildings in Connecticut.
Since the beginning Tri-State Contracting expended to offering HVAC services starting in 2019 spearheaded by Greg’s son Brett Gonyaw. With the combination of Greg’s experience in building and Brett’s experience in HVAC it has allowed them to offer their customers start to finish Contracting Services that are unbeatable in the region.
When they aren’t building the future you can find them on the local tracks racing Open Wheeled modified nascars. Brett the Jet has been a local celebrity in his racing career attracting women from up to 100 miles away.
